Steps
Follow the path that matches what you are trying to do.
Open a Bubo name
Bubo names are app-level addresses. They help people find a Bubo without needing to buy or configure a public internet domain.
Type an @ name
Enter @bubo/nightout, @bubo, or @bu.bo in the Bubo browser bar. The @ stays in place because Bubo resolves the name inside the app.
Use the matching source sites
If you visit source websites that belong to a Bubo, such as Bubo Cinema and Bubo Tables for Night Out, the app can offer the matching Bubo experience.
Open the Bubo workspace
When the name or sources match, Bubo opens the generated workspace tied to those live sources, saved choices, participants, and access rules.
Understand who owns a name
Most people should not need domain setup. Use stronger proof only when a public creator, partner, or company-owned name needs to be protected.
Use email for normal accounts
A verified email can support account access, recovery, invites, notifications, and optional email-style @ names.
Use social proof for public creators
A creator-owned name such as @bubo can be tied to a verified social login and proof post when the public identity matters.
Use domain proof for real domains
A domain-owned name such as @bu.bo is reserved for the internet domain owner and needs DNS proof before it can be activated.
Control visibility and sources
A Bubo name can point to a public or private experience. Owners control who can see it and which source URLs keep it current.
Choose who can view it
A named Bubo can be public, shared with friends, shared with groups, requestable, or hidden unless the viewer already has access.
Show owner collections
From a Bubo name, people can see other Bubos the owner has shared with them, plus favorites and invites organized by users, groups, and domains.
Update source URLs
Admins and collaborators can change the URLs associated with a Bubo name, update visibility, manage collaborators, and control access requests.
