Learn how Bubo works as a new kind of browser: open shared Bubos, move through the web pages inside them, then build Night Out as your first Bubo when you are ready.

Browse and navigate first

You can understand Bubo without creating anything. Start by using it like a new kind of browser: open examples, move through the pages inside them, and see how useful web pages stay together.

  1. Open a shared Bubo

    Use a link someone sends you, or open a public Bubo from the catalogue. Public and shared Bubos should be free to view.

  2. Browse the catalogue

    Use the catalogue to see how Bubos work for nights out, concerts, trips, restaurants, hotels, events, shopping, and services.

  3. Move through the sources

    Follow the links, compare the options, and use the Bubo as the shared place where the real websites, choices, votes, and comments stay organized.

Build Night Out as a Bubo

Night Out is not the app itself. It is the first Bubo you can build in the app: a saved workspace that combines Bubo Cinema, Bubo Tables, maps, and group preferences.

  1. Open the Bubo app

    Start from the native iOS or macOS app. Use the plus button in the toolbar, or type @build in the browser bar, to open the Bubo builder.

  2. Keep the Night Out template

    Use Night Out as the first Bubo-owned walkthrough. The builder sets the address to @bubo/nightout so it sits under Bubo's owner name.

  3. Confirm the Bubo sources

    Leave Bubo Cinema as the movie source and Bubo Tables as the dining source. These are Bubo-owned live inputs for showtimes, seats, restaurants, and reservation windows.

  4. Include maps and group preferences

    Keep maps enabled for travel timing and keep group preferences enabled for votes, comments, and participant state.

  5. Build the Bubo

    Choose Build Bubo. The app saves the Night Out Bubo locally and opens the native workspace with the movie, dinner, timing, and group decision state composed together.

  6. Reopen it from the browser

    Type @bubo/nightout, open the Night Out catalogue URL, or visit one of its matching source URLs. Bubo should offer the saved Night Out workspace instead of making you rebuild it.

Create your own Bubo

Creation has more decisions, so treat it as a separate step. Use email first, then add people, promotion, partner support, or domain proof only when they matter.

  1. Create with email by default

    Start your own Bubo with an email address. Email is the default proof because a magic link proves control of the inbox in a simple, auditable way.

  2. Add the websites you need

    Paste the ticketing, restaurant, hotel, airline, event, store, map, or service pages that hold the real options for your group.

  3. Invite people

    Share the Bubo so friends, family, coworkers, creators, or partners can compare options, vote, comment, and stay current.

  4. Link social when you want reach

    Connect and prove a social handle when you want to publish as a creator, run a promotion, or show that a public account is really yours.

  5. Promote or subscribe

    A creator can promote a Bubo with verified social activity, or pay for a subscription or sponsorship path when they want broader distribution without relying on promotion.

  6. Leave domain and DNS for later

    Domain claims are for companies and partners that need names like @hotel.com or @restaurant.com. That technical setup can wait until you need a verified business domain.
